  1. My research examines how education has been provided for children with cerebral palsy during the second half of the twentieth century. I am considering how policy and collective action brought about change stimulating the growth of voluntary organisations. The two organisations which I am using as case studies are Cerebral Palsy Midlands and Longfields Association (formerly Swansea & District Spastic Association).

I would like to connect with other members who have an interest in cerebral palsy, provision of education for children with a disability and establishment of special schools. I am also interested in how social history has impacted on disabled individuals and the organisations which provide support.
